Afro Cuban Berlin
Afro-Cuban Berlin takes place October 9–12, 2026, at Embassade near Alexanderplatz in central Berlin. The boutique festival focuses on Afro-Cuban roots of salsa, including Cuban Salsa, Timba, Son, and Afro-Cuban traditions, with instruction from artists including Alberto Valdes, Barbara Jimenez, Victor Gonzalez, Mercedes Sayut, Pedrito Luis & Giusy, Leonardo Moya, Silvio Leroy, Yasim Relampago, and Sheyla. The program emphasizes rhythm, musicality, body movement, and musical structure across workshops ranging from open level to advanced, covering styles such as Rumba, Casino, Timba, Son, Yuka Makuta, Palo, and Arara. Designed as an intimate gathering with limited capacity rather than a large congress-style event, the festival prioritizes quality teaching and meaningful interaction with artists.
