About This Festival
Vienna hosts the eighth stop of the Austria Bachata Social Competition in 2026, with semi-finalists and finalists from across Europe competing for qualification to the World Finals in Warsaw in autumn 2026. The competition features three rounds of qualification held on Friday evening: the first round uses a plus/minus scoring system where each woman dances with each man; the second round has men dance with each woman with jury and competitor scores determining advancement; and the third round features jury members dancing with competitors before final winners are decided. Participation requires either a Full Pass or Party Pass to Vienna Bachata Congress, with an additional entry fee of 15 euros for Full Pass holders or 20 euros for Party Pass holders. The competition emphasizes improvisation, individual dancers, and social dancing only.
